HOLY MOLY!!!! I just came home all tired from a three hour drive and walked sleepily into my front door to what initially looked like a little mess (hehe) and then realized there were white and red rose petals leading up my stairs! They led me to my living room where the first of many clues was awaiting me. These clues were so creative, they led me all over my house to places that reminded us of times we have spent together. Each beautifully wrapped clue (red velvet Christmas boxes)led me to another and the final clue led me under the tree where a BEAUTIFUL coffee table book was wrapped. This book had First Corinthians (such a touching and personal verse) all through it with matching pictures of us (our relationship thus far). At the very end of the book, it asked me to marry him!!!!! The book is on this little bloggy thing somewhere. (Wowweee…my hands are shaking so hard right now it is difficult to type!) I then just started to boo-hoo (I’m such a sap!)and he gotdown on one knee and said a whole bunch of precious stuff and asked me to be his wife! I’m gonna be a “wife”!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect proposal from a more perfect guy. I know this is corny, but he does “complete me”. He’s my blessing, my best friend, and I love him very, very much! I have so many people to call (so many of you already know!!!) and he’s kinda wanting to open HIS presents!
Thanks so much to everyone who had a part in this wonderful start to many, many more memories!

Crystal,
You better treat Shane good. I’ve known him since the 2nd grade. He’s a good guy, you are lucky to get him. If you are half the person that Shane tells me you are, then you must one heck of a person. Y’all two have fun and enjoy life.

Crystal,
I am glad you are truly happy now. I know how picky you are and the right person had to be sent by God. The two of you make a great couple. I know you love him and he is also lucky to get you! Good luck and God Bless! Love you, Mama

Corny or not, that’s sweet! 8)
And that must have been Mick on the first comment…hastobe.
I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of reading this post because I remember how you looked and acted as you were typing. You could barely type the keys!!! And there I was…sitting by the tree…wanting to open MY gifts. Ah well…(corny line alert) you ARE my gift! 😉
LOVE YA!

Well, I know you were wondering if i was going to comment about one of the most exciting moments of your life. I have been thinking of just what to say, because there is so much to say about marriage, Being best friends and trusting in God to guide you through the trials. This is just the beginning of a life of dreams and making memories together, to later share with your little ones whenever they come along…..(later down the road)!! i know how you both love children and most of all is raising them in a Christian home. I am so thankful and so blessed to have you both find each other. Crystal, I have never seen Shane so happy and i thank you for coming into his life. Not just because he is my son, but he has a heart of gold and will always be there for you no matter what. One of the things that stand out in my heart as he was growing up and always brings tears to my eyes when i think of it is, when he was in 8th grade he and i were kinda having a tough time making a house payment, which at 750.00 a month, plus all other bills that go along with life, I picked up Shane at school one day and he got in the car and was excited and said “Mom, I am going to sell my computer so we can make our house payment.” We had it listed on the market for sale, but you still make payments anyway. He said he would just get another one someday. He was willing to give up his favorite thing to try to help me out,……..
How ironic, that the computer is how he makes his living now and I know God has been smiling down on him ever since, saying “Now, i will take care of you and watch over you” Shane is one of a kind and i thank God everyday for him. I love you Crystal and i know you both will set a good example for others. I wish the world had more people like you. Congratulations to you both, you deserve the best and you each have found that……. Love you…….

Thanks Tana, for all of the wonderful things that you had to say to us. It means a lot, coming from you. Shane is a selfless person who wants only the best for all the ones that he loves. I figured that out from the beginning. He doesn’t ask for much, but gives and gives and gives in return. I’ve truly been blessed with Shane…and his family.

Crystal,
I have just finished viewing the official Crystal and Shane web site. I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am for you. As we both know, our friendship did not start out very well. Over the past couple of years we have created a great friendship. I know for sure I could not have survived Walden without you! When you came into my classroom the first time to show me the website of a guy who takes wonderful pictures I could tell their this could be something special. You talked about him and his pictures all of the time. God creates a person for each of us. I have Greg and you have Shane. God is already in your relationship and keep him there. He will guide you through good times as well as bad. I wish you and Shane a life time of happiness together. I better be on the invitation list for the big day! I think I heard Nov. 3. You will have to let me in on all of the details when we get back to work. Let me know if you need any help.
Love ya!

Crystal,
I love to see you so happy. Especially the night you recieved your engagement ring. You called me at
2:40am ecstatic about your up comming nuptials.
Shane was so creative in planning the proposal.
You are so beautiful in love. You have been so picky
during the dating process in finding the right man for
you. In the time period you had to wait, which seemed
to you like a life time. You have now recieved a
wonderful man. Who is well worth the wait. In the short
time that I have talked to Shane on the phone and
meeting Shane, he is such a sweetheart. He has made it
very easy for me to love him. When you found Shane,
you found a treasure. I wish you both a long life filled with happiness and many years of wonderful experences through out your lifes together. When the time comes, for you both to start a family, you will have the most beautiful children. You will be such a good mother and you have so much love to give a child. Any child would be blessed to have you both for parents. I pray that God will bless you in many ways. Love you always,
Aunt Amber
